Membership Information

Dear Prospective Congregant:

Thank you for considering joining Congregation B’nai Israel. We are a warm, vibrant and growing Jewish community in Manalapan, NJ. We are very fortunate to have Rabbi Ken Brodkin as the spiritual leader of our community. Founded in 1917, Congregation B’nai Israel is now in its second century of existence, and we are working to build a strong future.

Congregation B’nai Israel is a welcoming community full of passionate Jews who take active roles in leading the congregation. Congregation B’nai Israel hosts weekday minyanim, as well as weekly Shabbat and holiday services. Our services are meaningful and full of song, and we always end the service with a delicious Kiddush and L’chaim. We also host many events throughout the year to commemorate Jewish holidays, but also just for fun to build a strong and unified kehilah – community.

We have a very active Men’s Club and Sisterhood. The Men’s Club hosts Sunday breakfast programs, and attends minor league baseball games and Devils games on Jewish heritage night. The Sisterhood offers a variety of interesting programs, including book chats, cooking classes and more.

Manalapan, NJ, offers every resource a Jewish family could want. We have Jewish day schools, extensive learning opportunities, an expansive eruv, a mikvah and Kosher shopping. We are commuting distance to New York City, and driving distance to Jewish high schools in Highland Park, Edison, Deal and Lakewood.
